Call of Duty is one of the most popular franchises in the community and is famous for its first-person shooter games. Furthermore, the most successful game in the franchise is Call of Duty: Black Ops, which has sold over 30 million units worldwide. In addition to that, Warzone also created an enormous impact with its exclusive battle royale gameplay.
However, Activision could not focus on the increasing number of hackers in the game. Because of this, several users quit Warzone as developers were not able to meet players’ expectations. Players couldn’t increase their ranks and Warzone was no longer a fun game for them.
Interestingly, Activision introduced RICOCHET Anti-cheat, a kernel-level software, across all versions of Call of Duty Warzone and Vanguard. With the help of RICOCHET, developers were able to deal with numerous cheaters. Here’s the community’s reaction to Ricochet’s recent milestone.

What is RICOCHET Anti-cheat?
Similar to any other anti-cheat, Ricochet’s purpose is to prevent players from gaining an unfair advantage through the use of third-party tools. In one of Call of Duty blogs, it mentioned, ” This driver will assist in the identification of cheaters, reinforcing and strengthening the overall server security. The kernel-level driver launches alongside the Pacific update for Warzone later this year.”
“While the kernel driver, which is only a part of RICOCHET Anti-Cheat, will release to PC, by extension, console players playing via cross-play against players on PC will also stand to benefit.”
RICOCHET’s recent milestone amazes the Call of Duty fans
RICOCHET is available on both popular Call of Duty titles; Vanguard and Warzone. Back in October 2021, Activision first introduced RICOCHET as an anti-cheat; however, several users didn’t show faith in it. Interestingly, the recent RICOCHET achievement has mind-boggled the community.
