Japan’s Super Nintendo World Braves Torrential Rain to Celebrate Its First Anniversary

The Super Nintendo World at Universal Studios Japan completes a year today! The grand park was opened to the public and contains some of the greatest memorabilia from the Nintendo gaming universe. In order to celebrate this special event, Nintendo organized a special program where a marching band performed the original Super Mario Bros. theme.

Alongside this, the CEO of Universal Studios Japan, J.L. Bonnier, also made an appearance in the show and thanked everyone for wholeheartedly supporting them.

Nintendo fans celebrate the first anniversary of Super Nintendo World despite heavy rainfall

As you can see in this tweet below, fans are flocking in with raincoats and umbrellas despite the downpour trying to ruin the celebration.

The park visitors can also obtain the limited edition first anniversary sticker as part of the celebrations until 31st March. Besides this, the Power Up Band and USJ App will bring special stamps too.

Another great news for the fans is that Super Nintendo World will open up its doors for a second park at Universal Studios Hollywood! The park is expected to open by the year 2023.

The construction has already begun at the site.
