What an incredible start to the season we’ve had. From seeing two Ferraris making it one-two at Bahrain to seeing two Red Bulls fall out of the order, this race had everything. Moreover, two Mercedes finished in P3 and P4 out of nowhere.
Among all these, Twitter has gone wild. It’s the first race of the season and the admin of Mercedes has already started taking digs at Red Bull. The admin of Mercedes’s Twitter handle pinched Red Bull on their worst possible start in recent years with “You love to see it” just when Max Verstappen and Sergio Perez fell off the order due to technical issues.
The start of 2022 has been very harsh on the Austrian team. A disaster would be an understatement. Both the Bulls went down the order just minutes before the chequered flag. With Max Verstappen facing a technical issue followed by Sergio Perez’s engine disruption.

On the other hand, Mercedes had a flying start. On Saturday’s qualification, they ended in P5 and P9 and finished in P3 and P4 today. New recruit George Russell had an incredible comeback and Lewis Hamilton added one more podium to make it his 183rd.
What’s this all about, the Mercedes-Red Bull online war?
The online ‘war’ between Mercedes and Red Bull has been going on for a long time now. The two heavyweights taking digs at each other online isn’t a new sight to see. Is this a sweet revenge for the Silver Arrows for what happened with them back in the 2021 Abu Dhabi Grand Prix? Who knows.

As for Red Bull, they released a statement saying they’ll have a detailed look to find out what happened. Interestingly, three out of four Red Bull cars had technical issues. The other one was Red Bull’s sister team AlphaTauri’s Pierre Gasly who had a fire in his car.

As things stand, Mercedes are in P2 with 27 points as compared to Red Bull’s 0. Hamilton picked up 15 points followed by Russell’s 12. Red Bull’s Sergio Perez and defending champion Verstappen will look forward to Saudi Arabia turning things around now.
