Sacramento Police have said they have made an arrest in connection with a mass shooting in California's state capital during the early hours of Sunday morning.
Police said that more than 100 shots were fired in the shooting, which killed six people and left 12 wounded.
Dandrae Martin, 26, has been arrested as a "related suspect" on assault and illegal firearms charges, police said.
Detectives and SWAT team members found a handgun during searches of three homes in the area.
Earlier, authorities said they were looking for multiple suspects following the shooting at around 2am.
Gunfire erupted just after a fight broke out on a street lined with an upscale hotel, nightclubs and bars, and police said they are investigating whether the row is connected to the shooting.
Witness videos on social media show rapid gunfire for at least 45 seconds with people screaming and running for cover.
The victims were identified on Monday by the Sacramento County Coroner's Office as Devazia Turner 29; Joshua Hoye-Lucchesi, 32; Sergio Harris, 38; Johntaya Alexander, 21; Yamile Martinez-Andrade, 21; and Melinda Davis, 57.
Of the 12 people wounded, at least four suffered critical injuries, the Sacramento Fire Department said.
On Monday, at the scene where the chaos erupted, candles, balloons and flowers were laid on the ground paying tribute to the victims.
After the shooting, Sacramento's mayor Darrell Steinberg spoke about increasing levels of violence in the city and said "we can never accept it as normal and we never will".
President Joe Biden also called for action on gun crime on Sunday.
"Today, America once again mourns for another community devastated by gun violence," he said. "But we must do more than mourn; we must act."
