The Pedigree is an iconic finisher that WWE Legend Triple H popularised around wrestling fans. He had some iconic wrestling moves which suited his character, but the WWE Universe was a fan of the Pedigree.
However, Hunter is popular for using the finishing moves of his opponents and also another wrestler in some cases. Similarly, The Game once used a move of a WCW superstar while Monday Night Wars was on top.
Triple H used The Diamond Cutter, which made Diamond Dallas Page disappointed and told Hunter not to use it.

Diamond Dallas Page requested Triple H to stop using Diamond Cutter
Diamond Dallas Page was over the fans rapidly. He was near his 40s and just had started becoming popular in WCW. His finisher move Diamond Cutter was one of the reasons fans were loving DDP and wanted to see him every week on TV.
DDP even though working on WCW, enjoyed watching RAW and used to record it and watched it later. One evening, DDP saw Triple H using the Diamond Cutter and got disappointed. Recently, on his podcast DDP Snake Pit he shared how he stopped Triple H from using ‘The Diamond Cutter’.

He immediately called Hunter. DDP on call said, “Listen bro, I’ve got a favor to ask you.’ And look, Sting had the Scorpion Death Lock, Bret Hart had the Sharpshooter, it’s the same move.It was customary for one guy to have it here, one guy to have it there. Bottom line is I said ‘ you know bro, I’m just really starting to get this Diamond Cutter over it. It’s giving me some serious momentum.”
He added, “I saw you do it the other night to beat a guy. And I get it and I don’t have the right to ask you, but I’ll tell you, but you’re so so much younger than me. The Pedigree is amazing. If you wouldn’t use it anymore, I’d really appreciate it.’ He said ‘done deal.’ That was the last time he ever did it.”
Triple H and DDP are close friends, and out of respect, he stopped using the move. DDP, as said, was just getting over even though nearing 40 years, and The Diamond Cutter was the ace in his back pocket.
We can say the Diamond Cutter is the initial version of Stone Cold Stunner and RKO. It was a move that could be given to anyone, anytime. The move was getting famous, and many superstars wanted to use it, but DDP had this move close to himself and didn’t want anybody to use it.
