“Back to Hendrick in 2024” – NASCAR Fans Speculate as Joe Gibbs Racing Make Major Kyle Busch Confirmation

Kyle Busch

With the departure of M&Ms from NASCAR, Joe Gibbs Racing is hunting for a new sponsor. Of course, the whole situation flings Kyle Busch’s future in doubt. Understandably, the outfit would still like to retain the services of the 2-time Cup Series champion. Unfortunately, no driver can really operate for long, without sponsors.

Now the good news is that JGR have confirmed that they have commenced negotiations for sponsorship. According to reports, they have teamed up with JTG Daugherty Racing owner’s agency for this. Naturally, the news has prompted fans to begin trying to guess who will be the lucky title sponsor. There were all sorts of suggestions, ranging from slightly realistic, to the more zany ones.

Fortunately for them, there is plenty of time to find a permanent sponsor for 2023 and beyond. However, there will be massive shoes to fill, given that M&Ms and JGR enjoyed a 30-year partnership.

If we’re being honest, it will be strange to see Kyle Busch driving a car that is not sponsored by M&Ms, as the two have become synonymous.

What kind of company is Joe Gibbs Racing looking for?

As per reports, the Toyota-powered team is looking for a brand that is related to technology. So far, that is the only hint that fans have been given. So, names like Amazon, Microsoft, Tesla, Oracle, and others are being thrown around. The bad news is that whoever steps is, will only have a one-year contract.

Obviously, Joe Gibbs Racing is looking for a temporary solution to tide them over for the coming year. Later on, they could try and look for a sponsor that could back them on a more long-term basis.

Toyota have insisted that they are keen to retain the services of a driver of Kyle Busch’s caliber. Although he is 37 years old, he is still in peak form and winning races for the organization. He is also on the verge of breaking the record for the most consecutive seasons with a win. Busch will obviously want to stick around as long as possible and gun for a third title. The question is, will any sponsor come forward in the coming days?
