According to a report in The Guardian, India and Pakistan have been experiencing extreme heat in the last days of April. On April 30, a temperature of 49 degrees Celsius was recorded in Jacobabad in Sindh province of Pakistan. On the other hand, the temperature in Banda district of Uttar Pradesh, India was 47.2 degrees Celsius on the same day.


Daily temperature records have been kept in India for over 100 years. The country's meteorological department says average temperatures in northern and central India last April broke all previous records in the region.


Although India and Pakistan are normal at this time of year. Even so, scientists are blaming global warming for the extreme heat this year. This is what scientists think, observing the time, intensity and extent of the outbreak this year.

In the last few days, however, the temperature in the region has dropped slightly. However, meteorologists fear that the intensity of heat will increase again in the coming days. Temperatures could reach 50 degrees Celsius in some parts of northwestern Pakistan and India at this time.


Extremely low temperatures have been recorded in the tropical regions of Southeast Asia, with northern India and Pakistan experiencing scorching heat. On May 2, Hong Kong recorded a temperature of 18.4 degrees Celsius. This was the lowest temperature in Hong Kong since May 1918. Earlier, the lowest temperature was recorded in 2013.


On the same day, the temperature in the southern Chinese city of Guangzhou was 13.6 degrees Celsius. Never before in May has the city recorded such a low temperature. A day later, on May 4, the lowest temperature recorded in Thailand's Umphang district was 13.6 degrees Celsius. May has never seen such low temperatures in the whole of Thailand.


According to meteorologists, cold weather prevails in the region due to the monsoon winds in the northeast. However, they have not been able to guarantee a reduction in temperature for northern India and Pakistan; On the contrary, terrible temperatures are expected to return in the coming days.


Outside Asia, meanwhile, winter has begun in Australia. Public life in the country was frustrated by the scorching heat last month. Temperatures dropped significantly in southeastern Australia last Wednesday. Temperatures in the region that day were 4 to 6 degrees Celsius lower than the average in South Australia, Victoria, New South Wales and Tasmania.


Meanwhile, heavy rains lashed Tasmania last Thursday and Friday due to deep depression. At the same time, strong winds have blown over the area. Usually the weather in this region becomes so bad several times a year. This causes natural disasters like storms, rains and floods.
