'Football King' Pele has left the mortal world. The Brazilian football legend died at the age of 82 on Thursday at the Albert Einstein Hospital in Sao Paulo. The football world mourned his death. Now it's time to lay him to rest. Pele will be buried in his hometown of Sao Paulo.

Pele was hospitalized since the last week of November. Due to the deterioration of his physical condition, he spoke about his 'last journey' while in the hospital, wanting to go to the Santos club's home ground, Villa Belmiro Stadium, where he became the king of football.

As per Pele's wishes, Pele's coffin will be taken to the Santos club grounds tomorrow morning, January 2 (Monday). Earlier, as per custom, the body will be prepared for burial at the Albert Einstein Hospital. Pele's coffin will be kept in the middle of the stadium for 24 hours for the public to pay their respects.

Then next Tuesday morning, Pele's body will be 'last journey' on Santos road. The coffin will be taken through Canal 6 Road, where Pele's mother lives. 100-year-old Pele's mother is bedridden.

Pele will be buried in the presence of family members at the Memorial Necropolis Ecumenica after the funeral procession. The burial place is basically a 14-storey building. There are 14,000 vaults, an artificial waterfall and a car museum. There will be no public access to the burial ceremony.

According to the Guinness Book of World Records, the Memorial Necropolis Ecumenica is the tallest vertical tomb in the world. In addition to the 14,000 vaults, there are several stone vault-like spaces below the ground floor of the building, a cremation chamber, a crematorium and a mausoleum. This samadhistambha was originally created for families of individuals who want to keep their dead bodies more private and special.

The mausoleum is a 14-storey building with a large area and a garden. Apart from this, there is a cafe and an artificial waterfall on the roof of the building. But what might surprise you the most is that this cemetery houses a museum of cars that have been used by many people at different times.

This cemetery was built in 1983. Its architect is Pepe Alstat. But after its construction, its range increased. It doesn't stop here, now the burial site has become a tourist attraction. As it is located on the seashore and at the foot of the hill, many tourists visit this beautiful tomb. Villa Belmiro stadium can also be seen from the top floor of the mausoleum. It was here that he started his career which later earned him the fame of 'King of Football'.
