Ukrainian forces have surrounded a large part of Russian troops in the Russian-occupied city of Liman. They also restored the settlements around the city. Seri Cherevaty, the head of the eastern region of the Ukrainian army, made this claim, according to BBC news.
"According to the information we received, there were five to five thousand Russian soldiers in the city of Liman," Seri Cherevaty said in an interview with Ukrainian television. But due to the casualties of many Russian soldiers in the operation of the Ukrainian forces, this number has now decreased.
Seri Cherevati said that all efforts of the Russian troops to achieve success have failed. He also talked about the importance of Liman city in the interview. If the city is occupied by the Ukrainian troops, it will be easier for them to advance on the cities of Kremina and Severodonetsk. Currently, both cities have Russian military strongholds.
